During the first quarter of 2022, the travel and local category on Android in Algeria saw notable performances from several key apps. Data from Sensor Tower reveals interesting trends in downloads and active user metrics.

Safarway had a varied quarter. Weekly downloads peaked at around 78K in early February but saw a significant drop to 2.8K by late March. Active users followed a similar trend, reaching a high of 60.9K in early February before declining to approximately 10.1K by the end of the quarter.

Google Earth maintained a more stable performance. Weekly downloads fluctuated, with a notable peak of 36.1K in late February. Active users remained relatively steady, hovering around 140K to 157K throughout the quarter.

Krello, which launched in February 2022, experienced an initial surge in downloads, with nearly 49K in its first week. This number quickly tapered off, reaching just 235 by the end of March.
